To have your browser fill in information from the last time you used the online meter reading form, you must make sure your browser is set up to accept cookies.
Most web browsers offer you the option to be warned when a web site attempts to send your computer a cookie. This feature is turned off by default. If you turn it on, you will get a dialog box telling you a cookie is being used. Simply accept the cookie to move on.

To accept cookies if you are using a PC running Windows

Click Tools, and then click Internet Options. Click the Privacy tab. Click the Advanced button. Put a check mark in the Box for "Override Automatic Cookie Handling". At the bottom, put another check mark in the "Always accept session cookies". Click on OK.

Click Tools, and then click Internet Options. Click the Security tab. Click the Internet zone. Select a security level other than High. You can also click Custom Level, scroll to the Cookies section, and then click Enable for both cookie options. Click on Apply. Click on OK.

You cannot disable cookies in this version of Internet Explorer, but you can turn the cookies warning on and off. Here is how you can turn the warning off so that cookies will be accepted automatically. Click View, and then click Options. Click the Advanced tab. Under Warnings, click to "de-select" Warn before accepting cookies. Click on Apply. Click on OK.

Click on Tools, then click Options, and click on the 'Privacy' icon on the left side of the window. If there is a small button with a plus sign beside 'Cookies', click on it to open the Cookies section. Click to add a checkmark in the checkbox labeled 'Allow sites to set cookies'. Click 'OK' at the bottom of the Options window.

Click Edit, and then click Preferences and double-click Privacy & Security in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Click on Cookies. On the right-hand part of the screen, click Enable all cookies.

Follow the instructions below only if you are using the browser that came with AOL. If you opened another browser outside of AOL, follow the directions for that browser as described above. Click on Start from your Windows 95/98 taskbar. Point at Settings. Click on Control Panels. Click on the Internet icon. The Internet Properties window will appear. Click on the Advanced tab from within the Internet properties window. Scroll down until you see the Cookies icon. Click Always accept cookies. Click on Apply. Click on OK.

Click on MY AOL on your AOL Toolbar. Select Preferences. Click on the WWW icon. The AOL Internet Properties window will appear. Click on the Advanced tab from within the AOL Internet Properties window. Click to "de-select" Warn before accepting cookies.
