Q: Thank you making the changes to my site, however I am not seeing all of them? Why is that?
Spring Cleaning! Clearing your browser cache
Not seeing the latest updates that were made to your site? Is an out of date page or image displaying? The most common resolution to this problem is clearing your browser's cache. In order to reduce load time of pages and sites you visit frequently, web browsers often maintain a local copy of the images, files, and web pages that go along with those sites. This is known as the browser "cache".
By clearing your browser's cache, you will be able to see latest revisions for your site and any other favorite sites you view. Please note that you may need to restart your browser or computer after clearing your cache.
Often referred to as the cache, the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a kind of travel record of the items you have seen, heard, or downloaded from the Web, including images, sounds, Web pages, even cookies. Clearing your Web browser cache forces the browser to load the latest versions of Web pages and programs you visit as opposed to pulling them from your Temporary Internet Files.
Tip
To reload a page and bypass the cache of your browser:
- Internet Explorer: Hold the Control key and click the Refresh button on the toolbar.
- Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape Navigator: Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button on the navigation toolbar.
- Safari: Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload toolbar button.
Not sure what version you are using? Open your browser window, select Help from the main tool bar, then About.
